Abstract

This article explores violent experiences of disabled women and girls. The study leveraged the social model of disability and used a qualitative approach. Findings show pervasive sexual violence, economic exploitation, denial of political, social rights and low self-esteem. An inclusive rights-based approach where communities appreciate the needs/ rights of victims.
